How much to replace oil pan
l think l have a crack in the oil pan in my 1992 Chev truck. Approximately
how much would this be to fix if l had a repair shop fix it?
I am guessing they will be able to fix the oil pan crack with
epoxy instead of replacing the whole oil pan. That would probably cost you
whatever the labor cost is, plus a little for the epoxy, so around $15?
first off nobodys going to buy a used pan off a 92 chevy
because a new pan is cheap anyhow around 60 bucks. Its 4.2 hrs labor so
whatever you local labor rate is.
Go buy a used pan and new gasket. Call arond and price the
labor charges . Find out what the book time is on that truck to make the
shops honest on there labor time.
