Sealant for gasket on transmission oil pan
My boyfriend is changing the oil on our 99 Pontiac Montana and he is asking
if there is a sealant for the gasket on the transmission oil pan?
I agree with ''CJ 78'' - just the gasket!!!!

Was their sealant when he dropped the pan or was it just a
gasket? Almost all manufactures don't use sealant they use gasket is and
they fit dry and they need torqued to the correct spec. Over tightening
will cause leaks just as bad as under tightening.
Just use the gasket and make sure its bolted in tightly and
you're good to go.
